Position Overview

Salt Lake CNC is seeking a motivated and technically skilled Additive Manufacturing Service Engineer to join our growing team. This role focuses on the setup, operation, maintenance, and support of advanced additive manufacturing (3D printing) systems. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills, a hands-on mindset, and a desire to work with cutting-edge manufacturing technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and troubleshoot additive manufacturing equipment
• Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on machines
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software-related issues
• Support production operations to ensure consistent print quality and uptime
• Assist with process optimization and material handling
• Document service work, maintenance activities, and machine performance
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams or customers as needed
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards

Qualifications

• Experience with additive manufacturing / EOS DLMS systems preferred but not required
• Mechanical Engineering (or similar) Degree
• Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills (software interfaces, documentation, reporting)
• Willingness to learn new technologies and systems
